It has become increasingly important in recent times to offer products which are aligned with environmental values. PHP has imported recycled tissue products for many years - it is now possible for these products to be recognised by the public for their environmental virtues.

PHP has facilitated the certification of one our major paper product suppliers for some of their products to be accredited with the Environmental Choice New Zealand Tick. A range of products from this supplier can display this eco-label on their packaging which assures the consumer that the production, use and disposal of these products has less adverse impacts on the environment than similar uncertified products.

It is our goal at PHP to continue the expansion of these and other environmentally responsible products, allowing consumers to make a green choice without compromising their quality needs. It is also part of our scheme as a company to reduce our impact on the environment. By promoting and importing ECNZ tick products, we are also promoting sustainable development and environmental consciousness in the minds of consumers.

About the Environmental Choice New Zealand Tick

Environmental Choice is New Zealand's official environmental labelling programme. Among other  objectives, the programme aims to  encourage the sustainable design, production and use of products in order to reduce any adverse environmental impacts these products might otherwise cause throughout their life cycle.

The ECNZ Tick is the eco-label of the Environmental Choice programme.  The label aims to inform consumers of the relative  environmental impacts of the products they purchase. Since Environmental Choice NZ is an independent organisation, consumers can feel confident that the products with this logo are in fact better for the environment than products that don't qualify for the tick.
